Marinette’s civic leaders and community members have been discussing the need to implement actionable steps towards pedestrianization and cycling-friendliness. According to the 2021 five-year estimates from the American Community Survey (ACS) census data, less than one percent of Marinettes’ citizens biked to work and approximately five percent walked to work. Marinette is a city that has major potential to be a walkable environment, however,
without action and implementation from the city, many citizens will not take soft mobility commuting into serious consideration.
