College Corps members are full-time UM students who
commit to serving 300 hours during the academic year to
promote early literacy and Kindergarten readiness. During
the 2019-2020 academic year, a cohort of 5 College Corps
members worked on a weekly basis with preschool children
at the Union County Head Start. College Corps is affiliated
with Jumpstart, a national early education organization that
provides language, literacy, and social-emotional
programming to ensure Kindergarten readiness among
preschool children from under-resourced areas.
