Membership is required for protected use of the EPIC-Network© logo and associated brand and other intellectual property.
Maintenance of membership requires the following:
- Program fidelity to the EPIC Model,
- Self-identification as part of the network somewhere on program materials
- Keeping program evaluation current
- Completing an annual update with EPIC-N staff
- Responding promptly to reasonable requests from EPIC-N or other members.
Terms waived for indefinite future:
- Payment of annual dues
EPIC-N will continue to produce tools and resources to make achieving these terms easier for programs year-to-year.
Those maintaining membership and the terms listed above are provided access to all of the benefits listed in the following section.

Start Up Toolkit – EPIC-N collects artifacts from around the network to help programs start their own EPIC program and win over stakeholders in their community. Co-Branded Graphics and Communication – EPIC-N staff provides co-branded graphics to help programs earlier in their development win over other stakeholders within their local context. — Request access to this resources using the “Request Support” function.
Annual Conference Registration Discount – When an Annual Conference event is planned, attendance will be discounted for you. If you have an institutional membership, all other stakeholders involved with your program will receive the discount as well. This includes community partners, university leaders, faculty, students, etc.. Please put the next EPIC-Network Conference on your calendar. Access to the EPIC-N Member Commons – The EPIC-N Member Commons is an online platform that members will have a login to access. It is a changing space that will be a space for new and existing programs to find new resources to continue evolving their programs. This space houses the EPIC-N Toolbox, Courses, Forum, and Project Library. Other resources will be added year-to-year to this site.
The EPIC-N Toolbox – Members will have access to the Toolbox through the EPIC-N Member Commons. The Toolbox helps all EPIC-N members and programs start, maintain, and improve their work. The toolbox is filled with examples of resources and templates from EPIC-N experts and program leaders from around the network. Members have the ability to add and to use tools found within the Toolbox.
1-on-1 Technical Assistance Support – EPIC-N provides support staff to assist programs with the barriers they face. Members are allowed to schedule meetings with our support staff as their availability allows. Our staff can help with all aspects of your program. Use the “Request Support” function or email info@epicn.org to start brainstorming, get connected, and find answers now.
Connections – Staff continuously act as a conduit between communities and universities across the world. Staff provide members extra support in building connections to support their local programs. EPIC-N succeeds when our members are able to connect to thought leaders across the network.
EPIC-N Mailing List, Listserv, and Webinars – Our newsletter provides updates on our network and success stories from our network. The EPIC-N listserv has a membership of other program managers, staff, and organizational directors from around the world. The listserv is a space to brainstorm and share ideas. The program manager calls are a monthly informal video conference call hosted by program managers for program managers. Each month, EPIC-N hosts moderated calls with other program managers and EPIC-N support staff to share best practices and emerging problems and solutions. Other trainings on topics are held regularly and your membership fee gives you free access to all of these presentations.
Access to the EPIC-N Qualtrics License – EPIC-N provides member programs with free, Qualtrics licenses for evaluation and support of all aspects of program performance. Many use this to assist their evaluation of experiences of participating faculty/staff, students, and community partners; reports comparing your program metrics over time and compared to others, and assistance in customizing this developed tool to best fit your needs and aspirations. Access to your license begins once you request access using the “Request Support” function within the EPIC-N Member Commons.
Evaluation Optimizing Support – Even with the Qualtrics license, there are many details to consider when evaluating your program. EPIC-N support staff provides optimization services to make evaluation easy and accurate for your programs’ priorities.
Global Prestige and Marketing – EPIC-N increases member visibility in all sorts of ways — social media, newsletter, outreach events, and throughout the EPIC-N website. Individual programs gain prestige by being associated with the network with an international reach. Opportunity to Apply for Project Funding – EPIC-N works with funders at the national and global level. We find opportunities to present to all of our member programs. This helps find alternative funding that individual programs are unable to access on their own. Opportunities will be announced over the EPIC-N Listserv and periodically through the EPIC-N Mailing List.
Regional Conferences, Workshops, and Site Visits – EPIC-N hosts an annual conference, regional workshops, and site visits throughout the year for interested university and community leaders to learn more about different aspects of the EPIC Model. During these events participants experience a series of learning activities that help individuals at universities and local governments/community organizations “Just Start” their own EPIC Model program. Resources Available to Help Start a Program
Just Start Webinars – Moderated calls with leaders from the network are hosted occasionally throughout the year. Some are open to the public to help share best practices and to discuss emerging problems and solutions. Depending on the topic, these webinars may be free or may require a registration fee to attend. You can also request your own workshop or site visit using the “Request Support” function.
EPIC-N Site Visits – Universities and communities can request a visit from our EPIC-N Trainers. They are ready to engage any potential university or community stakeholders (university administration, faculty, staff, students, community partners, elected officials, government staff, etc.). Many beginning programs find this highly valuable for gaining interest, buy-in, and local resources to support the new program. Site visit costs are dependent on travel, lodging, number of days, and the number of trainers requested. Email info@epicn.org about your interest in a site visit to receive more information.
Sharing Data in the Project Library
Within the EPIC-N Member Commons, EPIC-N maintains a project library of the individual projects completed by EPIC-N Member programs. The data were either shared with EPIC-N directly, or collected from publicly viewable websites by EPIC-N leaders. Data found in the EPIC-N Project Library is curated by individual members. EPIC-N staff manage and use the data for various network initiatives. Members have the ability to manage their own project data and make changes to their data upon request. Sharing project data using the “My Case” and “Edit Case” tools give EPIC-N permission to use the project data entered in various organization publications on our website, email communications, webinar presentations, social media platforms, and in print.
Your Account Profile
Data shared by individual users in the “Account” page will be used to tie members to their respective organizations and/or EPIC Program. Contact information, bio, and other information provided will be used internally to build network strength. Profiles will also be shared within the EPIC-N Member Commons via the “Author Pages” of the Project Library. Providing information in the “Account” page also gives EPIC-N permission to use the data entered in various organization publications on EPIC-N’s public website, email communications, webinar presentations, social media platforms, and in print. EPIC-N does not share membership contact information directly with third parties.
