Lately there have been city projects created to promote citizen science and utilization of existing parks. These projects have started to be implemented to begin the steps towards more sustainable cities. As we develop cleaner, greener ways of living within our communities, the implementation of well-crafted environmental programs that give citizens tools to explore their local communities with a new lens will benefit their overall education as well as the health of the environment. This project aims to provide direction and ideas to the City of Seaside to enhance the effectiveness of the planned environmental education center at Roberts Lake Park. This group also developed a field guide to some of the species of flora found within the park.
