The Redmond Professional Business Medical District Initiative is an ongoing
project in the City of Redmond, Oregon. The initiative aims to create a distinct
area of town designated for new business development that will boost the city’s
overall economy and improve quality of life for residents. With an emphasis on
curb appeal, accessibility, and connection to nature, the Professional Business
Medical District is a unique addition to the growing City of Redmond.
However, there is currently a general lack of awareness about the district and
the many opportunities it can provide the region – particularly among investors,
business owners, and developers. To address this issue, five students in
Public Relations Campaigns (J454) at the University of Oregon developed
a communication plan to advise city officials on how to effectively draw new
business to the area
