Film students from the Department of Cinematic Arts created short film profiles of Webster City residents, with the goal of telling personal stories of individuals who are working to make a difference in their community.
Film students Izzy Schrock and Jade Peterson created film profiles of four Webster City residents who are making a difference in their community: Pat Powers, “The Voice of Hamilton County:” broadcaster on Flight Q95 and KQWC for over 40 years; Tiffany Larson, “Bee Lady” and Webster City cheerleader, whose many community efforts include the Bee-Inspired Youth Program; Loween Getter, dedicated to enriching lives through Webster City Community Theatre; and Katy Bernard, passionate advocate teaching English language learners at Webster City High School. Many community members attended the premiere of these films at Webster Theater. Enjoy these film portraits below!
